This miniseries is mocking a court case in which players of Pokemon Go tried to sue the developers over an incident at "Pokemon Go Fest". Pokemon Go is a smartphone game where the user's location is tracked via their smartphone's GPS or WiFi location, and pokemon will randomly wander the real life map; players are given opportunities to track them down, and throw pokeballs at them to catch them.
Recently a Pokemon Go Fest was held, and the service was unable to handle the large number of players all in one area. Two dozen attendees tried to sue the developer, Niantic, for reimbursement of their travel fees.
Zapdos is a legendary pokemon based on the Native American god the Thunderbird. It is very rare.
